This event is a cultural festival from several villages around Lake Sentani and several districts in Papua as an effort to support government programs to increase tourist visits Indonesia-Papua.

Back to the public market. If we have enought time, we take you visit Lake Ayapo and Asei lake. Finally, you are going to have dinner in Youga restaurant at the Sentani lake bank. Day 2 : Hotel-Sentani lake festival (B/L/D)
Today is the festival day!. From hotel directly just 20 minutes drive to the Sentani lake bank called “ Pantai Kalkote”. Here, you are going to see the Coastal tribes attractions, will present the dances and many attractions; like: Yospan, folklore dances, marriage, and death ritual and many more. Here you also have a chance to see to Coastal arts like wood carving, handicraft, west Papuans Bilum, and many more difference activities day by day in a week!.
The price sometimes 5 US$ the cheaper price, but some times 10 US$/per wood leather paintings for bird of paradise, lake fish, Turtles, etc. Lunch is served along the festival.

Sentani Lake Festival to Showcase Papuan Culture-2022
Various art performances and traditional ceremonies will be featured during the Sentani Lake Festival in the Khalkhote area of East Sentani, Papua, on October 24-29/2022. There various traditional dishes from various parts of the province will also be available.
The three main points on the agenda for the Sentani Lake Festival, aside from the main carnival, are cultural performances, an artwork exhibition and tours. All parties have joined to add more festivities to the program, regardless of their origins, religions or tribal affiliations
Among these, some of the most anticipated highlights of the festival are the Isilo, a traditional colossal dance on boats that involves hundreds of performers, the war dance, and also the massive cultural parade. The war dance and parade have always been an essential and sacred part of the festival.
This year, there will also be the installment of the Ondoafi, or the leader of the tribe’s customs and tradition.
Lake Sentani is one of the largest lakes on the island of Papua, – Indonesia’s most easterly province – located near the provincial capital city, Jayapura, on the north eastern coast of the Indonesian side of New Guinea.
